I posted my Thanksgiving Wine Chat article early enough to give you time to find the right bottle (or two!) for your feast. But in case you're just beginning to think about Thanksgiving--maybe you're a guest simply assigned to bring wine along--and missed the post last week, let me give you the short version again here.
You could make a reasonable case for serving at least a half dozen types of wine on Thanksgiving, but pinot noir has been my personal preference of late. The fruitiness works with the vegetables, and the depth of a good pinot picks up the earthy elements on the table such as gravy and stuffing. This year I'm planning to bring the 2005 Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits, Moillard ($18) I picked up back in September; I think it should be even better having been in the cellar the past two months.
But that is just one of many option. Read the full article here for a complete rundown of my pinot noir reviews and other suggestions. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving.
Lynn--my father is the lead cook today...guess I'm more the sommelier for the day, bringing a few bottles like the ones I mention here. I am good to bring a spicy dip with sour cream, scallion, garlic and cayenne for us to nibble on though.
Happy Thanksgiving all!
