I present a bouquet of these lovely wild flowers to one of my favorite Gather friends, Miz Debbie H. from Maine.  Today is her birthday!  I joined Gather one year ago yesterday.  The day after my 57th birthday.  The site loomed ahead like a freshly plowed field ready to be planted.  Now, the flowers have bloomed.  Debbie H. is one of the loveliest.  Only our thoughts and our fonts meet two or three times a day.   Debbie's daily letters about her job out on the Sea and her life with her husband and children and animals warm my heart.  She's the hardest worker I've known but her gratitude and appreciation of her life has no limits.  I've learned so much from her.  I thank Gather for the opportunity to know such a delightful person. I'd like to wish everyone a happy May birthday.  

I've met many special friends here on Gather and each adds colors to my garden.  I am fixing to go outside and hoe another row to plant the coming year's seeds.  I look forward to all the new blooms.  Thank you.  Salud.

A lovely image of friends and flowers. Cultivating relationships through a community like this does take care...as one prepares a field for planting. May this new year bring new beautiful sprouts of life to your garden, Mariana.

Greetings - Miz Moggy - I hope it's today - the 11th - ! That's a lovely new icon picture you have by the way! Miz Donna, bless your heart - and I'll be over to visit you soon as well. There are so many folks in my garden and I started to list them;however, I realized I'd forget someone and then you know how that goes!! OH Miz Judy - you are one of my favorites as well - and I love what you wrote about the sprouts - yes, indeed, it's a delightful community, Miz Deb J. hi Miz Beryl, thanks so much for dropping by...Bob - omg - I love it - as of course, I loved John Denver - saw him in person in Atlanta in 1973. Loved those verses - can't believe you can remember them so very well - I didn't know Woodie Gutherie did them...wow - well, thanks so very much for taking the time to print out such a lovely verse. Yes, and she lives up by you! I'll make one big visit when I go over to that end of the world.

Hey Mariana, how are you my gather friend. I know, your saying "Where have you been?" Between my sleep studies, work, life and chores, I have not been able to frequent Gather as much as I have in the past. Besides I have my garden to care for as well which takes up some of my time. However, it's good to see you are sharing your thoughts about gather friends. I'm sure there is a little charlie flower somewhere in your garden. Please allow me to bloom. Miz Vicky enjoy Kansas City - is that Kansas or Missouri? The ole husband's family owned Baker-Ridenour Grocery outlets years ago. Have fun and thanks so much for your well-wishes. I truly love hibiscus - mama has them growing tall and proud in the front of her Main St. house - I hope I'm a red frilly one! You're a purple iris in mine..and Charles...a charlie flower - now, that makes me laugh - you're funny. I will find a flower and name it the Charlie flower - it will probably be down on the bayous as I'll be there several months starting June 6th...I know I'm behind on reading your stuff Charles, but will make up for it...thanks for stopping by!

Oh - how I wish I'd seen this in time - Debbie H is one of the kindest folks here on Gather and I do love to spend time taking in the view of her world. Well, it's a little late, but dear Miz Debbie H - I do hope that you had a marvelous birthday, and that the coming year is filled with much joy.
