see this thing in that way, and it's critical that people do see it that way. Otherwise there won't be the sense of urgency to address it properly (hold Mexico accountable), and repair it.
You want to end illegal immigration overnight (of course, this is the last thing that the neocons want, because it is a key weapon against decent wages and the middle class right now)? Go after the companies that are hiring them. End of story.
If you went after the Businesses which I agree with you would put 90% of the Farmers and Fruit orchards out of business. There is no simple answer to this problem and if people are so nieve (Hope I spelled that right) to think this is going to end peaceful they need to put there head back in the sand. This is a huge problem and the illegals are like a tick on the back of a dog, they are burrowed in and sucking the blood out of us. With a tick you have to cut them off or burn them off. Either way its not going to get better until we start making an effort to deport them, and I mean all of them.
Not so. They would simply be forced to hire people at living wages, instead of slave wages. If they cannot figure out how to do that and earn a profit when they sell their goods, they don't deserve to be in business in the first place. I'd gladly pay a nickel more for a bag of apples, if I knew that it meant that a LEGAL citizen was receiving the benefit of that extra nickel.
This problem is NOT the fault of the illegals, it is the fault of the businesses that hire them and the government that allows the hiring to continue.
Btw, wouldn't deporting them all mean the same thing as forcing businesses to hire legal workers for decent wages?

I think that the main thing that ticks most people off about Nugent is the fact that he can't be fired for voicing his opinions, where if most of us voiced our opinions in a public forum as Nugent did, we would be fired in a New York minute!
Nugent once said " I'm Ted F#@&*g Nugent, so what are you going to do about that? "
Maybe if you lived where I do you might see it from a different aspect. The problem is you can only pay what the market bares. I would also pay more for the food and dont have a problem with it. If you were to take out the middle man and ship the food goods (Produce) strait to the Grocery Store you could pay the people in the field more. There is a bigger problem than that though Clark. We are a nation of (OH our kids cant do that kind of work) people who dont teach our kids work ethics and what a dollar is worth. If we as a nation would get our kids off there collective butts instead of setting in front of the nintendo all day we might see a difference. Why is it that kids used to do this kind of work and now it is said to harm them?
Thats where we parents need to take the reigns back from the government. They are not raising our kids we are. What I would invite you to do is to take a tour of your local schools and see what kind of behavior you see from a majority of the kids. I am not saying all of them are the spend all day behind the nintendo breed but a huge majority of them are. Not only do we need to be raising our kids but we need to start reigning in these politicians that think they are untouchable. It sounds like quite a few of them are getting there just deserts lately. Its a start but I think the most important thing is that we as Tax Paying Voting Legal Americans dont get complacent and keep the iron to the fire with regard to the Illegal Imigration Issues.
