People are angry, confused and ill-informed. This recipe leads to actions and statements that can only be described as ignorant - if not racist. These same folks could easily support racist organizations without realizing their connotation. It is an injustice to not expose the degree to which this is a race issue.
It isn't too hard to imagine...you may recall the number of local, state and federal politicians and public servants who belonged to white supremecist groups up to the early 70's and again today they feel safe to openly create segregation among the races in this nation.
You should know, it is happening again and while you may not count yourself among its ranks, quoting their propaganda and endorsing their misleading hype only serves to further their cause.
People, when challenged, scream that this isn't about race. I'm going to show you, just to what extent this is about race.
If you decide to continue to spread their message, you do so knowingly, rather than out of ignorance.
Knowledge is Power. Use it to create a better world for us all, not encourage hatred on the basis of race or national origin or, even law. There is a way to do this correctly, without being apologetic and without becoming servants to white supremecists.
It is called accountability.
It begins with the citizens of this country. It extends to our politicians, our government and any and all who have broken the law - be they citizen or illegal, wealthy or poor; white, brown, yellow or black.
Skinheads a.k.a. Aryan Nation followers are receiving military training at taxpayer expense:
[The report quotes Scott Barfield, a Defense Department investigator, saying, "Recruiters are knowingly allowing neo-Nazis and white supremacists to join the armed forces, and commanders don't remove them from the military even after we positively identify them as extremists or gang members."
...An article in the National Alliance magazine Resistance urged skinheads to join the Army and insist on being assigned to light infantry units.
The Southern Poverty Law Center identified the author as Steven Barry, who it said was a former Special Forces officer who was the alliance's "military unit coordinator."
"Light infantry is your branch of choice because the coming race war and the ethnic cleansing to follow will be very much an infantryman's war," he wrote. "It will be house-to-house, neighborhood-by-neighborhood until your town or city is cleared and the alien races are driven into the countryside where they can be hunted down and 'cleansed.' "
He concluded: "As a professional soldier, my goal is to fill the ranks of the United States Army with skinheads. As street brawlers, you will be useless in the coming race war. As trained infantrymen, you will join the ranks of the Aryan warrior brotherhood."]
Lesson 1: Make no mistake, there is a determined and expanding effort by racially motivated groups to prepare for what they hope is a civil war in the United States.
I repeat: Illegal immigration is an excuse for power-mongering.
For the most vocal: this isn't about the middle class, this isn't about population, this isn't about employment opportunities - THIS is about using an immigrant influx as a platform to further their own agendas - not yours and not mine.
A Few Examples:
TONY DOLZ (California)
Office sought: State Assembly
Tony Dolz has a unique biography for a vigilante border crusader. A founding member of the Minuteman Project, Dolz is a naturalized Hispanic immigrant who speaks English as a second language and is married to a naturalized immigrant from Europe. He has also spent much of his adult life in the famously liberal northern European states of Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
But none of that stopped Dolz from volunteering in the Arizona desert in April 2005 to "protect our borders" with the group that was characterized by President Bush as a "vigilante" organization, or from emerging as a rising star in southern California's anti-immigration activist scene. On June 6, Dolz won 76% of the vote in the Republican primary for California's 42nd District, which includes the greater Los Angeles enclaves of Santa Monica and Malibu.
Dolz's website prominently features a "Hall of Heroes" containing just four names – Minuteman co-founders Chris Simcox and Jim Gilchrist, U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (the Colorado Republican who has publicly claimed that illegal aliens are coming to the United States in order to kill Americans), and Barbara Coe, who heads the California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR) hate group and is also a member of the white supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens (that group has said non-white immigration is turning the U.S. population into "a slimy brown mass of glop"). Dolz's relationship with Coe is not a distant one -- he said in his candidate statement that he works for CCIR as her "national security analyst."
***
JIMMY D. GILES (Mississippi)
Office sought: U.S. House of Representatives
The declared "anti-Zionist" and "pro-White" independent candidate for Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District, Jim Giles just wants to "be left alone to be happy and safe and productive." And the best way to accomplish this, he says, is "separating the races."
Giles, who has previously run for governor, Senate and Congress, is a former systems engineer for IBM and current Internet radio station owner and organic farmer. On his campaign website ("Working for Whites" is his slogan), he concedes that his "biggest personal flaw is my hot temper, but we need some real men in Congress and not just sissies." He goes on to complain about "the Jewish owned media," affirmative action, and a host of similar matters.
In his official platform, Giles calls for abolishing "titles of nobility" (a common goal for the radical right, many of whose adherents believe lawyers have such a title); ending of all immigration for 50 years and deportation even of those immigrants who have been amnestied; ending the ability of the "private" Federal Reserve Board to issue currency (another radical right bogeyman); and ending all relations with Israel.
In a 2004 interview with the Jackson (Miss.) Free Press, Giles called the conflict in Iraq "a war for the Jews" and added that Jews "run our country for the most part." "All politics and all life is about race," he added. "There is no escaping that reality."<!-- 12

I am also for the security of our future - the question is, must I demean a race to be believed?
As to La Raza and MeCHA.....LOL....we outnumber this minority by at least 6 to 1. Is it any wonder that La Raza exists? La Raza simply means THE RACE - not ONE RACE, as many suggest. It is used as slang - similar to Ya'all. But obviously it MUST mean something darker and more sinister to fulfill the need to attack - right?
The cycle is the same: we have Aztlan who could become militant as the Black Panthers did. We have Chavez's legacy of civil rights for immigrants. We have hate groups hiding behind the veils of legitimacy.
See this for what it is, duane - or do you already and just don't care?
Answer the question, please.
You keep asking this, I keep answering, and you keep ignoring. "By the way...que significa la raza en Ingles? Anyone?" La Raza es 'the race' en inglés. ¿Qué significado tiene esto?
Not enough hardwoods around here to view the show. Take care! JB

It's not really fair to ask what the Mexican government would do with illegal immigrants, as the Mexican government has a MUCH EASIER process to go through to be able to legally visit that country. There aren't all the hoops and forms and waiting and waiting and hoping and worrying like there is in the vice versa... it's not much of a comparison, really.
"It's not really fair to ask what the Mexican government would do with illegal immigrants, as the Mexican government has a MUCH EASIER process to go through to be able to legally visit that country."
Mexico has an easier process to legally "visit"? What makes you think 20 MIL. illegals are "visiting"? Of course it's easier to go to Mexico to visit...You're taking MONEY WITH YOU aren't you? Try to illegally migrate to THAT country and see what happens!
No wonder this country is in the trouble that it is. There are actually people who think and believe the same as Christina.
"Try to illegally migrate to THAT country and see what happens!"
And.........Try demanding that they speak English, and provide tutors, translators, and bilingual forms; Try demanding that they provide you with medical and an education; Try demanding that they give you WIC, welfare, food stamps, etc.; Try having an anchor kid there, and see what social benefit jackpot you receive; Try marching in their streets with a US flag---with anti-Mexico signs--demanding benefits and rights; Try going to Mexico and insisting that they acknowledge and accommodate all US holidays.
Is the poor migrant farm worker routine not working? Now you want to turn your logic for illegal immigration to "white supremecy"? Jackie, these people have been around for a long, long, time. They have ALWAYS used political climates to try and further their agendas. This is nothing new and is to be expected. To turn this around and say that all those against illegal immigration are furthering their cause is absurd! The same could be said about the few people on the pro-illegal side. Those with an agenda of their own who KNOWINGLY advocate for illegals no matter what negative effects to the American people illegal immigration causes. Yes Jackie, some people are racist when it comes to this issue, but I believe most Americans are not.
duane: what makes you think that all immigrants are poverty-stricken? They drive nice vehicles and purchase homes on their ITIN numbers. Granted, the farm workers are poor, but then so were the Irish when they were on the migrant stream and the black people after them....
You mention JFK: Google JFK and civil rights. Even he knew that a nation divided by race could not stand. You are defeating your own purpose....how is it possible that you truly believe that by negating any race or nationality, we are somehow stronger? Doesn't the history of this nation/specifically our immigration and minority rights history, have any bearing on your perspective? Why or why not?
Tanton lackeys control the Sierra Club - which is a major argument of duane's for example.....Does duane know that he repeats, verbatim, at times - what a proven racist connection spouts all over the internet? Who knows? But...on the off chance that he didn't know and that others don't know - it's important to be clear about the alliances.
We wouldn't want to mislead anyone, now would we?
I agree, and I don't fault you for making the comparison. However, as I mentioned above, the same could be said for the many pro-illegal people that want to attack "white" America to further their own agendas also.
I mean there is a WORLD of difference between the Sierra Club and Center for Immigration Studies and a pro-immigrant organization called La Raza or a militia-class organization called Aztlan....
The point being - we can tell who they are but do we know who WE are?
Jackie, I don't see how you have the patience for this. You're a saint, as far as I'm concerned.
In this article, you wrote " A Few Examples " , and you only named 2 . They were Tony Dolz ( hispanic ) and Jimmy D. Giles. Quite a bit short of " A Few Examples ".
This is a perfect example of your repeated lackluster attempts to paint all people who are against illegal immigrants as " racists ".
Let's break it down.
Tony Dolz - A Hispanic who is racist towards illegal immigrants ? hmm
H.G. - A Hispanic who is apposed to illegal immigrants, so is he a racist ? hmmm
Alex S. - Another Hispanic who speaks out against illegal immigration, another racist I suppose.
Your dubious attempt to paint all people who are apposed to illegal immigration as racists hold no weight. You keep playing the " race card " , and you keep loosing the card game.
Perhaps you should list all of the posters who have posted racist comments, and then list all of the anti-illegal immigrant posters who haven't posted racist comments.
Then I will tell you where those who appear and who make overted racist remarks fit in. I would be willing to bet that those who don't vastly outnumber those who do.
To suggest that an influx of any ethnicity suddenly lowers us to "cesspool" status is false - unless you happen to live in a cesspool....
As to Phoenix, L.A., and other large cities: WHEN did they NOT have a crime problem?
I've been off on a tangent this week and for that, I apologize....I have my reasons - not that it even matters.
Blatant racism is a scurge upon this country. It is devastating - it's affects are devastating....
Teachers make racist remarks in front of an entire class room of more than 20 students.....two are Latino - one is illegal since age three.
They both cry and they are defended by white and black students....the students are threatened with suspension.....the students are grade six......
It isn't the Gather crowd, Timothy - you are right. I was hurt and I lashed out.
I'm sorry.
Your point in your last post is well taken. But, remember that this has happened in classrooms for many decades. Malcolm X was told by a teacher when he was a very young boy that he wasn't going to amount to anything, and because he was black, he would be no more than a servant to the white race. I could go on and on, but as I've said before the issue of illegal immigration is NOT about race. As far as I can tell, the only people that are thinking along those lines are the illegals and their backers who take to the streets and shout racial verbage to American citizens. I've seen the attitudes of people like Rosa Rosales, Dolores Huerta and others who want to make this a racial issue, and want to use the Civil Rights movement to gain a foot-hold on the American people. It's not working! In fact, not only have they succeeded in angering Americans in general, now they have angered the black community in trying to use the Civil Rights movement as a springboard to further their own agenda. I heard a black man ask: "Where were the Mexicans when our civil rights marches were taking place in the sixties? Play back the tapes and show me where the Mexicans were helping black people in our fight against racism!"
Sometimes, Jackie, I just think that the illegals and their backers are their own worst enemy.
It doesnt' matter who the person is, where they were born or if he/she is legal or illegal.
Obviously, when things like this happen, it's too late to do anything - the damage is done.
This particular teacher starts each class with the Pledge of Allegiance. The latest is that the two students refused to stand or pledge the flag - in defiance.
The REAL kicker? Those black people you talk about being so angry - sat with them and they were all sent to the office, I was called - again - and I expect things to improve.....These kids will never forget this....and that which does not kill you, makes you stronger......
My kid is that class - she was too scared to sit and support the two students.....she feels especially guilty because of the kind of job I have.
I understand you, H.G. I really, really do. I just need a little understanding too.
I do.
I do understand how it is to be hurt and lash out. Hell, I'm guilty of that myself at times.
I've also tried to help these people out of jams at times, especially when I thought that they were being abused.
BWT, don't think that I'm becoming pro-illegal immigrant.
You're right, we can be "anti" without being a$$holes (although some think that's my first name) :)
I think it's a sign of strength....and I deeply appreciate that...believe me.
Some of you may want to nick-pick this but this is the decision that was made by those who understand and run it all without any consideration for the little man. When future historians with access to information not currently available write about the Spanish migration they will say it was an act of racism. As in the U.S. the white population of Europe is aging and declining. Younger workers are needed to replace them and run the economy in such numbers that immigration is the only answer. The people in the U.S. have seen what a mess that has created in Europe and don't want to make the same mistake here. We need more white people of European background speaking an European language and that are Christians. Such people will assimilate more easily than others. True many of the Spanish-speaking people are off-white but white enough to maintain a white America. The bleeding hearts have passed laws about discrimination in immigration practices and quotas and so forth. The way around this is to allow illegal immigration and say, oh; they snuck in while we weren't looking. To support illegal immigration is to support a white America. Without it you would see a lot more immigration from nonwhite areas of the world.
For those unfamiliar with Jackie, in earlier posts, said poster freely admitted to breaking several America laws by aiding and abetting illegals to remain here in America illegally, including encouraging some illegal alien migrant farms workers too simply WALK INTO TOWN and dissappear, assuring them they would find a better job.
