It all started Thursday morning when I woke up with a sore throat. I felt fine otherwise and it had been a very long week, so I wasn't at all concerned. Thursday evening, I was literally freezing. I had the heater turned up and I was in sweats, socks, gloves and under a blanket and I was still shivering. I took a HOT shower and went to bed, thinking I was going to shiver and shake all night long.
I woke up Friday morning and my sore throat was gone... along with my voice! I sounded like a toad in a major way. No other symptoms at all.
I've had no voice since Friday morning. Last night, I was freezing again. Hot shower again and slept in all my clothes. Ended up coughing my brains out all night long. I've been couging the majority of the morning as well. UGH, I hate this!
It just seems odd to me because I've never had the symptoms in this order before... EVER! I just hope that whatever it is, it stays away from the kids.

The flu though, omg, I was shivering and shaking so hard that there were times I thought I was going to shake right off the chair I was sitting on. My fevers were really high and cycled oddly too.
I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling sick. Just make sure to make some effort to give yourself some time to rest. This is the first time ever that I've had a flu that made me almost pass out. The only symptoms I had from the flu was fever, chills, shaking, and muscle ache. One of the worst cases of flu (minus the gross flu hehe) that I've ever had.
Hope you get your voice back, and the kids do not get it!! How sad!
Stephy loves giving kisses and it's been really tough these past several days because I can't let her give them to me. I don't want her to get sick and I tell her that, but I still miss those kisses!
The last time I got the flu, I had similar symptoms except that I also had pain in my chest whenever I coughed. But, I think I lost my voice, too.
