Tell Me About Your.....

Our town seems to have a parade for every holiday but no festivals.

We have a few things in the area. Throughout summer we have numerous fairs and carnivals *some are about an hour a way*. Most recently their was jubilee day. Basically a bunch of vendors get togther for a couple of blocks and they have a few small rides, lots of food and this year they had kareoke (sp) to benefit the local ems.

Then in Janurary we have the farm show every year. We try to go every year to. They have all the farm equipment, farm animals, building supplies, local schools and 4h club entries and lots of food. I don't really like the stinky animals but we love to walk around and occasionally watch sheep being sheared, rodeo's and tractor pullls. My favorite part is the breaded broccoli and when they have honey sticks. Last year we couldn't go since my daughter made her enterance around that time.So, this year we are going as a family.

The PA Renaissance Fair is about half an hour away - we'll be going in August and in October.
I've heard that Gettysburg has a blues festival later in the summer.

Like Jenna, we go to the Farm Show - this year was my first visit and it was a blast!

I'm sure there are a lot of festivals down town that I don't hear about, or haven't been to yet. I'm still looking!

We have a Bluegrass Festival with contests and usual fair like activities right down town in the city circle. This TN town enjoys lots of festivals and celebrations including a renactment of a civil war battle.

Where shall I start? Can am festival. (stands for Canadian/Americam) Celebrates the end of the war of 1812. French Festival. Italiano Festival, Irish Festival
Most are fun some are excuses for people to eat really good food and beer.

we have a haynes-apperson festival in Kokomo every June to honor elwood haynes...he like invented the car?!

We have a big July 4th celebration. I never go.

I guess the best thing we have is called Heritage Days. It's a celebration of our town's past, with lots of old time music and crafts.

Your International Festival sounds good. We too have an international festival but it's just for one day. Our town has many companies that have headquarters overseas, so it's a pretty good festival. Good food!

I think they have Shakespeare festival, but I haven't go there.
