Nicolas Cage Broke

That is the word today out of Hollywood. The actor who has done a long list of movies over the years is now selling off his properties in order to make money. He has property located around the world, and one by one they will go. Apparently, he says his business manager led him down a path to financial ruin.

Uncle Sam is even currently after the actor for money. Over the summer, the IRS put a lien on him for $6.26 million because he wouldn't pay taxes in 2007 on his New Orleans properties. Now he has to pay up, and he'll have to sell off his homes to do it.

This man has had it rough lately. His father, August Coppola, died just last week, and he was buried at a quiet service in Hollywood just two days later. August was the brother of Francis Ford Coppola. Cage was getting to ready to premiere his next movie, Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans. However, he is now backing out of even attending the screening in New York with Eva Mendes and Val Kilmer later this week.

Sad to hear he is having such hard times. He has always been one of my favorite actors. City of Angels is one of his best works. What is your favorite Nicolas Cage movie? What do you think of his current troubles?
