I was able to see a sneak preview of "Couples Retreat" last weekend - featuring Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau (LOVE him), Jason Bateman (him too!), Kristen Bell, Kristin Davis, Malin Akerman... ETC!
I was really looking forward to seeing this movie and, while it was very funny, I think the majority of the funny parts were shown in the previews.
The plot:
4 couples are best friends. 1 couple is on the verge of divorce and convinces the others to join them on an amazing, all-inclusive trip to Bora Bora, where you can either relax and rejuvenate or take place in couples counseling. Of course, it turns out the counseling is not optional and much hilarity ensues.
The fantastic cast and beautiful scenery alone help the movie. Had the funny parts not been shown in the previews, it would have soared. Definitely worth a view, but not necessarily for $10.
