What's the most disappointing movie ending you've ever seen(without spoiling the movie for others)?
For me it was THE MIST. It was pretty disappointing because the rest of the movie was good.

I couldn't agree with you more! I love the novella and while the ending of the story was open ended it ended with hope. I also couldn't reconcile the father, who had overcome all these obstacles so far and never given up, shooting his son when he didn't have to - shooting him if the car was on the verge of being compromised or when it was surrounded by creatures would have been one thing but just shooting his passengers when they were all in the car and there were possible options left open to them was simply painting with a black brush for the sake of melodrama. And then, to shove the woman and her children in the protagonist's face and the rescus coming "seconds" after the shooting, it just seemed like the filmmaker shouting out to the world, "See?!? The world is hopeless, life is meaningless, and you're all going to screw it up in the end!"
The film, "The Mist" was definitely not my idea of entertainment or an enlightening experience. And I think it is an excellent choice by you for this topic!
