Disney's Handy Manny Motorcycle Adventure tells the story of how Handy Manny and his tools make a motorcycle trek across country to attend Manny's family reunion. Along the way they stop to help others while learning about families, what a family means, and what it means to be a part of a family. They also face some difficult challenges of their own, including a search for three of their own lost family members. While dealing with these challenges they show that teamwork is important in achieving an objective and that the family relationship transcends difficulties.
Handy Manny Motorcyle Adventure teaches good lessons about family values and the value of a family. The animation is excellent; the voices are pleasant; the color is outstanding. The mixture of English and Spanish is a great learning tool and shows a close relationship between the languages. Among the lessons learned, one is that families are more than just people who are related but can be people who care about one another. Another lesson is how friendship and loyalty are vital ingredients in family relationships.
Handy Manny Motorcycle Adventure lasted about 45 minutes with only one commercial break. It was part of the Disney Channel's "Family Night" (they will be showing a new feature on October 25th). My family piled up on the couch in our jammies along with some Gather provided snacks (thanks Gather!) and enjoyed a nice evening together. It was a good, clean show for our two children, ages six and four, and they loved dancing to the songs Handy Manny sang about families. It wasn't too long to lose everyone's interest but was long enough to really enjoy and get into. My husband and I both think it's a great show for young children, and here's what our two children had to say about it:

I can't do my review yet just because I dvr'd the episode. We like to be able to skip through commercials and I knew my son would want to watch it over and over again. That is awesome to hear that there was only ONE commercial break.
That's great that you got your prize pack before the movie, so did we! I can't wait to see my son watch the movie (of course I'll watch it too) especially since my toddler absolutely loves Handy Manny & motorcycles!
