Who's your least favorite side-kick from a movie? Win the DVD "The Last House on the Left!"

August 04, 2009 10:49 AM EDT (Updated: August 04, 2009 04:11 PM EDT)
views: 749 | rating: 10/10 (27 votes) | comments: 131

There’s a place where evil gets what it deserves.  Legendary masters of horror Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham revisit the landmark film that launched Craven's directing career and influenced decades of horror films to follow: The Last House on the Left. Bringing one of the most notorious thrillers of all time to a new generation, they produce a shocking and thrilling re-imagination of the story that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child. The Last House on the Left DVD includes two versions of the movie - the unrated cut too terrifying for theaters and the theatrical version.

The Last House on the Left includes a side-kick, who unfortunately meets someone who leads the main character into trouble. Gather wants to know: who is your least favorite side-kick in a film? Gather will randomly draw five respondents to receive a copy of the DVD The Last House on the Left. Comments must be posted by August 18th.

The Last House on the Left, comes to DVD and Blu-ray August 18th!

LOL I was thinking Robin too when I read least favorite side kick. We are talking old school here though. I can't think of any sidekicks of recent.

My least favorite side kick...hmmm.... I would say Scrappy Doo or Scooby Dumb. Both of them just rubbed me the wrong way.

The charachter Willie Scott from Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom. The movie tends to lose a little bit of watch-ability when this single character does nothing but scream the entire movie. Yes, the entire movie. She is screaming, complaining, whining, crying, and yelling for the whole flippin’ movie, and the whole time she thinks that she is a beautiful singer and the object of Indiana’s affection.

Benny on the first Mummy movie with Brendan Frasier. Benny was the sidekick for the Americans first, well their guide but still, a sidekick and then Benny was the mummy Imhoteps sidekick. He was a real sleaze who got what he deserved in the end! It was great!

Robin was bad, as was Scrappy Doo, but the ultimate bad sidekick has to be Chewbacca from Star Wars. I mean first, was he house trained? How many hair balls did he hack up? And don't even get me started on how hard it must be to get a dentist to look in his mouth...

Robin from Batman. I feel that Robin represents the ass kissing that goes on in this world; especially in business. Robin makes Batman his role model and tries to be an exact copy of him to try and please him. Not only does he fail at it, he just makes himself look totally gay. And the big problem is, people are corruptely influenced by this behavior and perceive it as being ethically justified.

I work with someone who reminds me of Robin. He sucks up to my department manager and copies his behavior, his quotes, and so on. Everyone at work knows that he's copying his behavior to get what I would like to call "brownie points", meaning that he wants to be given something in return such as a promotion and more hours. I absolutely hate him, and I hate people like that.

People like that ought to be fucking shot. Anyone agree?

Barnacle Boy, from "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" -- could you get more annoying than a geriatric ex-TV hero in tights? Yikes.

Maybe he's not exactly a side kick, but I'm going with Pluto from the Mickey Mouse cartoons. It always annoyed me that he couldn't talk, even though all the other animals could.

scrappy doo was one of the most annoying. He wasn't much of a sidekick because he didn't really get along with scooby, and they are family. That's very naughty for a family member to do
