On an impulse, my fiance & I watched the movie "Caffeine" this weekend. It was not good.
It basically tried too hard to be this hilarious ensemble cast movie with outrageous characters: the owner/manager, Rachel (Marsha Thomason, from "Lost") who finds out her boyfriend, chef Charlie (Callum Blue), is cheating on her; the servers, Vanessa (Mena Suvari) (whose fake British accent comes & goes) - who brings her CRAZY grandmother to work, Tom (Mark Pellegrino) and Dylan (Breckin Meyer), who thankfully sticks with his true American accent.
The patrons in the cafe feature two stoners - Danny (Mike Vogel) & Mike (Andrew Lee Potts) - an apparent porn star (Sonya Walger, also from "Lost") and her crazy jealous boyfriend; and sad-sack Laura (Katherine Heigl - whose British accent is ok, at times).
And a host of other out-there characters. We stuck with watching this movie, but did not enjoy it. We felt it just tried TOO hard to be the fun, wacky comedy it could have been.
