My husband and I are very careful about what we watch. We seem to be the atypical American. We don't like a lot of blood and guts, cussing, or sexuality. We prefer wholesome family movies where you walk out of the theater feeling good instead of depressed beyond belief (don't get me started on the movie Dark Knight.) This is one of those movies that I can recommend very highly.
This movie follows the life of a woman who is a shopaholic. Her real desire is to be a writer for a fashion magazine, but by a twist of fate ends up working for a financial magazine. Unfortunately her credit card debt and shopping habits get the better of her, and she ends up almost destroying her life.
I would consider this movie a Romantic Comedy. It's got a good message in the end, and it's got some really great funny parts. The acting is good in it, and there is very little cussing, violence or sexuality. All in all, I highly recommend you seeing this movie. I think it's even good enough to splurge and see it in the theaters. I really think you'll enjoy it.
