A Review of "National Treasure: Book of Secrets"

I finally got to see "National Treasure: Book of Secrets"this weekend. Some of you may be thinking "finally???" I know it's not thegreatest movie, and that it just came out, but the second I heard they weremaking a sequel, I wanted to see it! And we were supposed to see it on Christmas,but it got put on hold.

I really enjoyed the original "National Treasure." It cameout right when the DaVinci Code was all the rage. That movie was pretty much adisappointment, so National Treasure soared in comparison. It has pretty mucheverything for a fun, popcorn movie: adventure, comedy, intrigue, romance,mystery & puzzles! I love trying to solve the puzzles as they do so Icouldn't wait to try my hand at the sequel.

The plot of "Book of Secrets" is a bit of a stretch – it seemsto me that the first one was such an unexpected hit, that they rushed to putout a sequel (with a third on the way) and didn't really work on the plot. Itwas a fun movie, but not necessarily worth the money. Although it is fun to seeon the big screen. I don't want to give away any of the plot, but it was a bitconfusing and there were plotlines that seemed a bit forced.

And the movie was completely left open for the third. I hatewhen they do that, because now I'm really curious about what they said, but Ifeel like the third is going to be even worse.

As I said earlier, it's a fun, popcorn movie, but not aquality, best-I-ever-saw one. But I don't think anyone goes to see it with thatexpectation.
