Life Stories -Visible to Those That Know Where to Lookâ?¦.

First day on the job; I find them very chaotic. On this one particular day, I was trying to keep up with my boss as he showed me around, I was attempting to create a mental map of the place, and most importantly I was hoping to remember all the names of the people I was meeting. We were finally going to get to my department when I heard - "this is the janitor." I did not have much time to even introduce myself since my boss had not stopped and continued walking. I needed to catch up, so I left.

          I made it to lunch time and was relieved that I would have an hour to not only eat but also take a short break. I walked into the lunch room and to my surprise, there was the janitor. I sat down next to him and did three things that everyone should do - according to mom that is. First I smiled, then I introduced myself, and finally I asked him his name. Honestly, that is all I said and with that I got the most amazing story I had ever heard. So in an hour's time, I found out about his time with the Steelers. I am not much of a football fan, but it was all very exciting. I then got a glimpse of something I never thought I would - his Super bowl ring. It amazed me that no-one knew anything about this. His reply was that no-one ever cared to ask and that I was the first to even want to know his name.

          I would love to win the manuscript as a constant reminder of those three magical things everyone should do. I promise you that you will never regret it.
