Tom Hanks is a favorite of mine. I saw this in the theater with my Dad in one of those father daughter bonding moments. We had a good time and enjoyed the movie. Tom makes this movie what it is and really draws you into the desperation of the character.
Bried Synopsis:
Tom Hanks plays a Fed Ex man on the brink of engagement to the love of his life, Kelly. He has to make an unexpected run for Fed Ex just after a holiday supper. His plane goes down and he is presumed dead. Hanks spends some years on a deserted isle where his physical shape changes tremendously. His only friend is Wilson, a volleyball rescued from the craft. Tom makes it back to the mainland only to find that the world has moved on with out him.
I watched this on DVD with my daughter the other day. It is nice family entertainment. My daughter is 13, by the way. This movie is not for a young audience.
