Casino Royal is supposedly where it all started. The Bond writers decided it was time you see where it all started. Daniel Craig is an ok Bond. He is nice looking but to me lacking the charm that Pierce Brosdon and Sean Connery have. The movie is rated PG13. The language is very low key and I like that because there are some writers that think that if the F word is not used constantly the movie won't be a success. This one is and there are no F words here. The only thing that could be upsetting to even the most prudist of people is a torture scene with the new Bond naked. You do not however, see anything other than chest and legs. The plot was simple with Bond promotion to a 007 he is killing more people. The body count is quite high in this movie. You will see in this movie also why Bond is so condisending. He gets hurt and finds he can't trust anyone. It will be this hard core tone that will be seen in all the Bonds made to date. This 144 minute movie is well worth the watch. I am not a big James Bond fan but found the movie interesting myself. My sixteen year old daughter and husband found the movie very enjoyable. They are hard core James Bond fans. This is a film you do not have to worry about your children seeing and I am sure the whole family will enjoy. Good movie.

It was also the first story filmed. It was shown on American television in 1954 with the title, "Climax!" Casino Royale.
from IMDB;
"American Combined Intelligence Agency spy James Bond aka Jimmy Bond arrives at the Casino Royale in Monte Carlo, Monaco but is shot at whilst entering. He meets up with British Secret Service secret agent Clarence Leiter (this character was called Felix Leiter in the original Ian Fleming novel). He briefs Bond about his mission then Bond runs into old flame Valerie Mathis (she is an amalgam of the Vesper Lynd and Rene Mathis characters from the novel). She introduces him to Le Chiffre who is the Chief Soviet Agent in the area and is nearly always accompanied by three henchman called Basil, Zoltan and Zuroff. Le Chiffre has been gambling with the Soviet funds of his employers and his down several million francs. Bond's mission is to beat him at a high-stakes card game of Baccarat so Le Chiffre will be ruined. Written by Jamie Skinner"
