Do You Have A Favorite Movie Quote?

Every now and then a quote from a movie just sticks with me. And there have been Quotes that have stood the test of time.

Quotes and Poetry in film amaze me, and just shows the talent of the sceenwriter.

Some Quotes are so deep, Very philosophical, some film quotes make one think more than the film itself.

Please share your favorite quote. Im looking forward to hearing them.

~~One of my favorite movies for Quotes is Willy Wonka And the Chocolate Factory. I dont know why, but these quotes have just glued their impressions to me for decades.

The movie itself wasn't fabulous but I love the quote, "if you're not willing to sound stupid, you don't deserve to be in love" from A Lot Like Love. There are also so many others but I'm at work right now and can't think of them!!!

On the more comical side - I've always related to the quote from Jaws

"We're going to need a bigger boat." - this seems to be my lot in life - whatever I accomplish, I still need a bigger boat!

I love movie quotes, and the one that sticks out for me was spoken with reference on one level yet held such a deeper meaning that it was suddenly imprinted upon my mind. I've never forgotten it. From the film "Bladerunner":

"It's too bad she won't live. But, then again...who does?"

First I have to say to Arielle that I also really like the quote from "A Lot Like Love"--"If you're not willing to sound stupid, you don't deserve to be in love". That is SO true isn't it? Well as for my favorite, I think I have several and this particular one may not be very deep but I've always gotten a laugh out of it and it actually makes me think of me (I'm not this arrogant but I like to talk)....it's from "Beaches" when Better Midler's character CeCe Bloom makes it big and her best friend Hillary as well as Hillary's husband come to visit her. Her house is like a shrine to herself and after some small chit-chat, CeCe says "Well enough about me...let's talk about you. What do YOU think of me." That just cracks me up every time.

Those are all so great. I'm a musical person myself so my favorite has to be the line from the opening number of "I love you, you're perfect, now change" The tempo jumps and you hear , "I've got baggage, emotional baggage."Its just great in the moment. The audience never expects it.
