Soul Mates
It's as if we lived before,
In another time and place,
Where I lay down beside you,
And gently stroked your face.
It's as if we have been lovers,
Shared every intimate touch,
I can almost taste you now,
I miss you oh, so much.
It's as if I've known forever,
That you were there somewhere,
I can almost feel your fingers,
Interlocked within my hair.
It's as if I'm missing my heart,
My soul is dark and gray,
I know I have to find you,
There has to be a way.
It's as if we are soul mates,
Meant to walk hand-in-hand,
I could not explain these feelings,
In a way most could understand.
It's as if I need a good long cry,
To cleanse my heart and mind,
A closer bond I'll never know,
A greater love I'll never find.
It's as if we lived before,
In another time and place,
Where I lay down beside you,
And gently stroked your face.
