Hi everyone. I don't know how long I can stay as I have to make a trip to the Menard's store to pick up a section of countertop. How is everyone this morning?
My 2 goals for the day (besides finishing up the commenting for the gather photo challenge) are to get an oil change and get my tires changed. How about you?
Good morning Dan. I have to get the oil changed in my car today, as well as getting picnic supplies for my family's trip to the High Delta Safari Park tomorrow. So I am off, have a great weekend!
Is anyone else having trouble with Gather this morning? It starts to download a post and then gives me the boot. Nothing else that I am working on does that. Grrr!
It is hot here again but not as hot as yesterday. More storms coming through Iowa though. Just what we need. My 14 yr. old grandson is detasseling corn for the first time in central Iowa. I bet he is learning a few things. Like WORK isn't easy.
Good Morning. It's a lovely Saturday on Long Island: Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. I might go around and do some shopping. The vineyard nearest to me has live music in the afternoon and my wine refrigerator is starting to get a lot of empty slots in it. (Not that I am out of wine, I got two cases of wine from another vineyard at a "yard sale" but they are the large sized magnums and won't fit in the refrigerator. I mostly use them when I go to friends. If I want a nice bottle for dinner, the smaller bottles are easier to store upright in the fridge. (Right next to the half and half in the shelf on the door.
Dan I think people and the medical community in particular have not had any understanding of fibromyalgia. Now there is getting to be more information about it and hopefully there will be some good treatments for it. My neurologist told me that exercise is the best treatment for fibro and I'm so glad I have always exercised. He said if I hadn't I would have a server case. That is the problem with fibro, when people are diagnosed most are not active at the time and the pain in the muscles is too debilitating to start the exercise so they just keep getting worse. I always go walking when I am in pain as it makes me feel better. Funny how that works, but it does.
good morning everyone. how's it going? i had a flat tire last night so i was kind of bummed. i thought it would cost me a bunch of money to get a new one or get it repaired. but it's my day. it was covered under the warranty. so i didn't have to pay anything. hope everybody has a great day.
Micah, you're always welcome. Plus, we were all new to gather at one point. Now, because of the wonderful commenting that people do on my work (and visa versa) I can keep my head above water and afford some groceries.
Well Patricia, I will be there in Michigan during August. I know I will be waiting for Sept to come along (and not simply because my b-day is in Sept).
Well, Fibromyalgia is a real concern of many people. The hardest part of medicine is actually narrowing down the diagnosis to include simply the top few ideas about what's going on. Think about it, if we were microscopic and could look inside the body at each structure and tell you what's going on, it'd be best. I am in awe of those (like my Grandfather and later my father) who have learned to practice medicine before all of todays techniques. It truly is an art and takes so much critical thinking.
I want to take a shower ... I hope they find something I do not want them to say its in my head lol well my mom had the same problems she found out she was having small hearts.
Dan, when you make it here to MI, I really think we should have some sort of meet and greet...there are alot of us MI people here at gather, and it would be great!!
Well, Laura, I'm happy to say that the last day of my 1st block (Pediatrics) will end on my B-day. The hardest part about medicine is that you never know if you'll be on call. At least with this, I can relax knowing that I will not be on call for my b-day.
Well Janet, I know that I'll be doing another picture challenge at some point. It was actually a lot of fun and I think that most people were happy with how it turned out.
Now that I have decide if I get my 3125 a mth or not I am not going to worry about it...that now I am having more fun now and able to write more to my friends.
Well, when I was helping Heather try to reach the cash option in the last few days of the month, we were able to get her just over 1,500 points in a single day. Thus, it's doable. It just takes LOTS of commenting (and you're always welcome to comment on my work).

Our goal is to help you further your exposure and to support other gather members.
It looks like we're going to have a hot one here in New Mexico. Pretty blue skies, though.
