(PICTURE CHALLENGE!!) **I WILL COMMENT ON A PAGE OF YOUR PICTURES IF YOU DO THIS** (READ THIS!!)

I decided that I wanted to have an interesting photo challenge that would give you the chance to earn some points while having fun.

Here's what I'd like you to do. I want you to take a picture showing a personal message to me like: "Hi Dan H, Have A Great Day!" or something similar and post it as a picture to gather.

I don't care if you write it with leaves, write it on your belly, write it with legos, etc. After you post it, comment to this article with a link to the picture you posted. I will reward each of you who do this by going and commenting on a page of your pictures (and even give another comment if I've already commented one of the pictures). I'll make the deadline be this Friday July 11th at midnight Eastern Time (since gather is set on Eastern Time). This way, you'll have a few days to do it.

**!!!Also, for the most creative picture, I'll comment on all of your pictures!!!**

Please understand that if you have 100 pages of pictures and you win, it will take me a little while to get through all of them.

**I will let our fellow gatherers decide whose picture they think should win.**

This way, more people will go to your picture and help you earn points, and I will feel as if the winning picture was chosen with less bias. I thought that it'd be a nice picture challenge, earn you a few points, and help give me a nice smile.

As for voting, I'm waiting for the submissions to get in 1st before I stop accepting new ones. I would suggest that you all take a look at each other's pics since 1) you'll get points, 2) they'll get points, 3) it'll give you some ideas of what people have done.

This sounds like a great idea. But my first concern would be people committing copyright infringement and winning. Shouldn't one of the requirements be that the picture has to be the creators and not someone elses work?

Entries will be accepted until midnight (Eastern Time). I will comment on a page of pictures for each person who enters the contest as specified above. The most creative entry will win the prize of having me comment on each of their pictures.

To try to ensure that the most creative picture is chosen with the least amount of bias from me, the winner will be decided by you, the voters.

The way that I will calculate who you have chosen to be the most creative is by tallying the rating of the picture times the number of votes on that picture. This way, even if a few people do drive-by high or low ratings, it will be balanced out partially due to sheer numbers. I will tally up the count over the weekend, so help your fellow gather picture contestants by viewing their entries and voting on their work.
