Am I Allowed To Tell This Secret?

I just found out from a buddy of mine who has recently gotten into acting in tv shows, that the audiences on talk shows and even shows like DEAL or NO DEAL are made up of actors. Yes, they do give out free tickets (which helps fill up the audience for free), but they mostly pay people to be there or else there wouldn't be enough people to make up the audience. Wow, I never thought about it until now that it's all a big facade. Nothing really is what it seems to be in Hollywood is it?

"real" audiences would'nt react the way the producers want us too. They have to hype it up, kind of like an infomercial audience.

That is something else I never thought about. I guess I always figured they went out and last minute let people in off the street. I actually know people who have been on the Jerry Springer show, how sad is that? Their story was mostly real but they did dramatize it a little! LOL

That is very interesting. I had a friend who went to the Jerry springer show and she told me that she was not impressed. this was back in the late 90's when the show started going to hell in a hand basket. They actually egg the people on. they have the audience start the fights. this to me is unethical but it sells.

I saw a game show one time in CA -- it was called Tic Tac Dough. If you remember that one, then you're older than dirt (like me)
