Daily Whine & Shine - April 2, 2008

Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffer from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our constant struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Hello? Are you there? Well come on in. If you're looking for a place where you can rant, stomp your feet and shout, "Oh shuckie darn!" you've found it.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a place where you can share some joy, give a praise report, or yell, "Yippee skippy!" this is the place for that as well.
Joys and concerns are both welcome here.
Food for thought:
"Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents, which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant." ~ Horace

Have a wonderful day.
Isn't life wonderful? No sarcasim intended.
My car is a 1992 Chevy Cavalier with only 117,000 miles on it. My dad gave this car to me when he bought his last new car in 1997 or 98. At the time, I think it only had about 40,000 miles on it. I love not having a car payment. I love this car!!!
And yet, people seem to want to hit it. I was rear-ended twice in 2000 - once it took 6 weeks to fix the rear. Then my cousin was driving it in Michigan in 2004 and he got hit on the front end. It's been totally repaired each time, repainted. There isn't a speck of rust on it.
Grrr. Now it has damage to the driver's side - rear bumper, a scratch/gouge on the driver's and passenger door, the mirror is broken and the front bumper probably needs totally replaced.
the toilet we just put in is leaking, I hope it is not serious, maybe something just needs to be tightened???
