VENUS

Welcome to another peek at the planetary picture, and a brief homage to Venus, the Goddess of art and beauty. It’s an interesting feature of the solar system that the Earth orbits right in between Venus and Mars. Venus is on the inside, Mars on the outside track. And much of peoples walk on earth involves sorting out the yin and yang of things, male and female polarities and the resulting gender dances.

As a planet Venus is the brightest one of all. Until the end of the year she is visible before sunrise in the east, the Morningstar.

The placement of Venus describes what and how you love and what you feel attracted to in others. It is connected to the romantic and idealistic side of things.

Those born under the influence of Venus are pleasant, easy to get along with and often sport a green thumb, which means they are good at growing things. Whether it’s gardens, houses, or fortunes, Venus likes money and enjoys the comfort it affords.

Venus rules Libra and imparts a keen sense of aesthetic and fair play. It also rules the earthy sign of Taurus. Both signs display a certain love of pleasure and luxury, combined with a peaceful nature that avoids conflicts and confrontations. While a Taurus may resist a conflict with patient perseverance, a Libra will be more inclined to negotiate.

Libra possesses a keen sense of justice and team spirit. Remember the Hermit like qualities of Virgo, where the mind is turned inward to analyze the self. In Libra the Hermit comes down from the mountain, in order to get involved with others. When the individuation and soul-searching process of the Hermit phase is completed, the balancing act of relationships begins. They don’t call it ‘domestic compromise’ for nothing!

The human condition implies social connections. People are bio-engineered for relationships and not really meant to live in isolation.

Mars is in OOB (out of bounds) declination: that means moody as well as erratic behavior. If Libra is concerned with balance, during the new moon phase it’s extra delicate. Trine to Neptune: sensitive and open to inner guidance, spiritual break through experiences. Venus meets Saturn in Virgo: necessities rather than choices, reality check. A powerful time for those that have planets in the middle degrees of Air signs: Aquarius, Gemini, Libra.

This influence may provide a serious wakeup call, feelings of stuck-ness or sudden emotional blocks. Good for introspection, souls searching.

The beginning of a major string of sextiles. Likely to open new doors, the aspects support easy going interactions, deep exchanges and personal breakthroughs.

Get the message out, be courageous and bold about it. There is no need for mincing words.

An excellent day for negotiations and meetings. Also good for planning ahead, budgeting and analytical projects.

A fine weekend for testing your limits and boundaries. Whether they are physical, emotional or imaginary: power rules!

Sun conjunct Mercury, Mercury Rx enters Libra, Sun enters Scorpio

A meeting on the fence, also called a collision course aspect. Both planets change signs going in opposite directions. Not a great day for shopping, especially for clothes or communications equipment. You’ll be indecisive at first, and change your mind on things later.

Full Moon in Scorpio, Venus opposes Uranus

This promises a reckless party weekend. Costume trends will lean toward the futuristic, new and unusual - rather than the tried and true.

This inclines to revelatory truth talking, also good for reading, writing and making inquiries.

Venus squares Jupiter

Can’t get away with over indulgences, so some folks will need to recover from weekend hangovers. Sun sextiles Saturn, Jupiter sextiles Neptune: this stirs the imagination and creative urges. Good for visual arts, pictures and images.

Neptune SD

It’s Halloween night, and Neptune’s station can either make foggy weather, or cloud foggy minds. So pay attention to the road, trust your instincts and expect to see a few ghosts and aliens.
