This is what is currently on my plate, in addition to all the other things I have to do in my daily life and a mom and a wife.

- PTO President, There's a new President in town!
- Box Tops Coordinator
- Co-coordinator of the Cozy Closet (a new program at our school to help families in need of clothing for their children - we offer a time when they can come "shop" for FREE gently used clothing items at our school)
- Cookie Mom for Girl Scouts

In addition, I'm a volunteer in Stephy's class room once a week! I'm excited about everything that's going on and I'm sure it will all work out and be lots of fun. I just hope that I can handle it all and that I didn't bite off more than I can chew! I know it's the beginning of the school year, with lots of transitions so I understand that it comes with the territory.

Our school Open House is on Thursday night. As PTO president, I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything ready, UGH!
Trying to find volunteers is like pulling teeth. It's ALWAYS the same people that help for everything, about 20 of us. It's insane that more parents don't offer to help but they are the first in line to complain!
*
My thoughts on it are... if you don't bother to help then you have no right to complain! I am only one person and can only do so much, so I TRY not to let the little things bother me too much!

Plus, I still have vacation photos from the beginning of August, garden photos from August, first day of school and taekwondo photos to post. At this point, I feel as though I am never going to be able to catch back up.

What do you do when you are feeling a little stressed and as if you are falling farther behind as each day passes?

I just feel like I'm never going to catch up! LOL!
My Mother was the Pres. of what back then was the P.T,A.lots of planning, fundraising, and work!she started the free breakfast program for the southern Florida area.I was proud of that.
She also started Sat. Movies and kids who got good behavior and grade vouchers got in free.at $.30 a movie and $.20 POPCORN she raised quite a bit of money [that was in 1955-6 ]and every week there were cupcake and cookie sales donated by all the moms.
I was cookie Mom one year - it is not too hard & shouldn't take up too much of your time.
Just make sure you are making enough time for yourself. No one takes care of mom --- so we have to take care of ourselves! Otherwise we end up grouchy, tired, fat and burnt out on motherhood!
I do look forward to being able to give more time to my kids' school, I just know that now isn't the time for me!
I'm sure you'll do fine and find your balance!
None of them offered their time, but at least they shut up!
Just being president is such hard work. Hopefully you can delegate your tasks to other willing parents and then just make yourself a helper with those events. Otherwise you could go crazy!!!
