Toddler Tip for the Grocery Store

Hi Moms and Dads,

I have a great tip for your shopping trip if your little one tends to drive you nuts in the grocery store.  If I am running in for more than a few things, I make a shopping list for my two year old too and bring him a crayon to use for his list.  I use a piece of constuction paper and cut pictures of things that we are getting and glue them onto the paper.  To him, finding apples, milk, cheese, basic things is a game and he has great fun trying to find the objects on his list.  Plus it keeps him busy while I do the shopping.  Have fun!

I have done this a few times too. It keep them in the cart which makes a world of a difference for me. ;) I am thinking of getting my list together and doing this for my 4 year old tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

I've thought about trying this before...thanks for the reminder! Goldfish crackers only last so long in the store, LOL!

What a great idea! I can't stand going to the store with my 2 1/2 year old. She won't stay in the cart and she runs off if you let go of her - makes me CRAZY! I will try this next week. Thanks!

That is a great idea!! I've never thought of doing stuff like that. My daughter is really good in the store (she's 3), but she bugs for everything that she thinks she needs. This might give her a great way to forget what she NEEDS!! LOL
