Hi Moms and Dads,
Here is a craft I really think your toddler will love. It is making a fish and it is very easy to do.
Rainbow Fish Craft
You will need a pre-cut fish shape out of construction paper or cardboard, bits of colored tissue paper or construction paper, tinfoil, glue, and markers.
Have your toddler color the head of the fish blue and then glue various colored tissue paper on for the fins and tail. The squares of tissue paper and tinfoil can be used to create fins. Toddlers love glue so the will have a blast with this picture and the more imperfections the better. It is messy though so be ready!
If you have a fish tank, you can also make little fish to put on the back of the aquarium. My son loves looking at the fish he colored on the aquarium. Making these projects in a day is a great time to talk about sea creatures, water, or even the beach. We also have used this day to learn about the letter F, which is still so hard to say for him! Have fun!
