Manic mommies group is doing a contest and I just have to put in my 2 cents worth. Yeah right - more like 200 dollars worth. It's a grocery list for my family of 5. That means there is no way that it can be 2 cents worth.
I tried to scan my list with my daily menus on it but the scan turned out so light that I couldn't even darken it enough to read it. It also has lots of marks on it where I crossed things out as I put them in the shopping cart. Even on the back of my list there is a list of how much everything cost rounded up to the nearest dollar. It's pretty sad in all reality that the necessities in life cost so much.
Anyway - here is my list and the menu all typed out so that you can read it...
Menu
17th Homemade Pizza 18th Hot Dogs 19th Stouffers w/pears & cottage cheese 20th Chick & Yellow Rice with carrots and asparagus 21st Meat loaf, green beans & corn 22nd Mac & Cheese with hotdogs & sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar 23rd Ham sandwiches with pickles & peaches w/cottage cheese 24th Blk eyed peas w/rice, green beans, corn bread w/sliced tomatoes 25th Mystery meal 26th Stouffers 27th Cabbage & corn beef w/corn bread & sweet potatoes 28th BBQ chicken, Potato salad & Mac & Cheese
Some days I throw in some homemade biscuits and sliced tomatoes or sliced cucumbers.
