What Is Your Favorite Thing About Being A Mom?

I agree the love they give back.

I also really love when they learn something new. It's neat to see them get excited about accomplishing something new.

It's that unconditional love my kids have for me and I for them.

My favorite thing about being a parent, is when my son looks at me and smiles in a way that he shows he is connected to me. This may sound strange but our son did not talk until he was about three. Whe he wanted something he would get frustrated bacause we did not understand what he wanted or needed. When we figured out what he wanted, he would shoot us that smile. He still does it when times are rough for him and we get it, or when he feels close to us, or when he's just happy.

when my youngest son grabs my hand in public and sqeezes it five times....for "I love you so much!" AND with my teenager...I love it when I see his self confidence soar and his true talents shine through!

I love these stories!

Now that they are grown, remembering all the wonderful times together.

Just looking at my daughters smiling face upon seeing me in the morning. My heart melts, and I am so happy that I decided to have a baby.

Well, I am not a mother, unless you count being a mother to all my pets LOL. So I guess I have to list my favorite thing about my mother, which is all the time she put in to us growing up so me and my siblings did not turn out to be bad people.

I think my favorite part of being a mom is feeling like I've accomplished something with my life. I have 3 great kids, all teens now and I never for a moment think it was a mistake to give all I've given to them. I am happy that I gave up so much , to get so much back. So my favorite part is definitely the feeling of accomplishment.

Knowing that my kids love me as much as I love them and the joy they have brought and continue to bring to my life.

My favorite thing right now is bedtime. My son seems to go from devil to angel for his bedtime ritual. I don't know if it's because I've made that 'sacred' time for me and him, or he just loves bathtime/reading/a song and cuddling. But he'll try and extend every portion of bedtime as long as possible, and I find myself dragging my feet so I can blow bathtime bubbles just a little while longer. I say "just one more book" and wind up reading 5 more books. Then we turn out the lights and rock in the rocking chair for one stanza of "You are my Sunshine". Tonight, I sung it 4 times before I worked up the will to put him into bed. And he'll sense I'm going to set him down and cling tightly to me. Who can resist that? It has the power to melt the toughest of hearts.

When my daughter is playing with her daddy and she calls to me"do you want to play with us, mama? Come on, you can be a princess"

Well, I'm obviously not a mom. I guess having my children say a sincere thank you for my help is one of my greatest joys.

I don't have bio kids but my husband and I had custody of his younger brother for years. I'd say the spontaneous hugs.

So hard to pick just one thing. How about the helpfulness when they are little. Mine wash dishes!!!!!!!!
