We used to "go out" party hardy years ago but, stopped when the kids were about the same age as yours. Instead we stayed home and fixed a HUGE New Years Eve feast. We wanted to start a new tradition so we GRILLED. Imagine grilling in a snow storm with -20F temps? Hubby would sip brandy, while he stood in the garage freezing his whatevers off...but we laughed, smiled and ate like oinkers.

what beautiful children you have...if you look at your son really close, you can see the "man" he is going to be in his face...it's neat when the camera catches that look!

larry, my daughter has about 200+ beads in her hair! you can hear her coming two rooms away!

shannon, i swear i made them lay down, if only for a hour, just to get a break before midnight rolled in. i even left dick clark rockin' on the tv. but when i went to get them dressed they were KNOCKED OUT and dick was rockin by himself! i didnt even turn on the lights to take the pictures.

OH MY GOD, they are beautiful, Lori!!! My kids are in college now and I have all the me time I want. It sucks butt I'm telling you. Yeah, it is that empty nest thing talking again. Don't worry it will be here for you know it. It doesn't seem to matter how old they get, don't they still look like babies when they sleep.
What she failed to mention is that when she told them to lay down, she also pumped them full of Nighty-Night Cold Medicine so her and "hubby" could have the house to themselves!
