University of Minnesota opens plant database to public

I just got all excited by this article in the Star Tribune newspaper. The University of Minnesota has opened its Plant Information Online database to the public. It used to be available to subscribers only. Now I have a resource for those long Minnesota winters where I can only dream about warm earth and blooming plants.

What a great resource! It's gotta warm up a little more before I start getting the planting bug. Shouldn't be too much longer till spring though!
