Suggestion for Photo Contest?

Last week as I lay under my living room picture window I couldn't help but be drawn away from my novel I was reading and watch as the storm clouds grew more and more colorful! Eventually I couldn't sit still any longer and had to grab my camera and head outside. 

The angle and scope of my pictures is a bit limited because it started to rain and I had to stay tucked under the eaves of my house.  I have two maple trees in my front yard that were between me and the clouds I wanted to shoot.  Nevertheless I think I got some good pictures.

Later in the evening I remembered reading in our quarterly city newsletter that they are asking for photo contest submissions. 

I'm thinking since it's a contest for showing of sites and scenes of the city I should enter one of the photos that includes the street scene.

I'm considering entering a photo from this group and I'd like your opinions.  The contest is open to amateurs and proffessionals, I'd like to do it just for fun and the thrill of possible recognition.
