This iris has been in front of my deck for two years, this year it bloomed. What an amazing flower, with more bud to come.

I've found that it takes irises a few years to decide to bloom. Nice shot, especially the last one.

Cool. I don't know much about irises. I had one purple iris bloom in my front yard for about 36 hours this spring along with the crocus. It's not something I planted though, it was planted by the previous owners so I don't know if they originally planted more or what.

I love irises. Mine didn't so much this year and I found out why. Apparently when the rhisomes get covered entirely by dirt they won't bloom. Who knew??!!
