Just past midnight ,  proud stay-at-home mama, Bridget; let us all know that Jan 26th, today, was her father Steven's 54th Birthday. I commented back that he was 2 years younger than me.

I later got to thinking about a song I wrote when I was 28 years old--realizing and devasted by the fact that before long I would hit the age of 30---which then, seemed so--dare I say it--OLD. But here I am twice that age exactly: 56 years of age. ( Listen up young folks--time does NOT stand still.) Sorry.

I got to thinking back to that song I wrote 28 years ago, which I then called '' HITTIN' 30.'' I"m going to print the lyrics for all us OVER 50's---although anyone can read it: you just won't understand a word of it!  I'll now call it "HALF PAST 5O"

No matter your age, if this song strikes a CHORD with you ( forgive the pun), or brings back a special memory--- let me know. ( I won't tell anyone you remember such ancient history.)
