Review of Across the Universe

I know other people have reviewed this movie but I had to talk/write about my experience!!  Right away, I loved this movie!  It's about love, friendship, loss, and war.  The love between Jude and Lucy grows and has bumps and pain.  They find each other, lose each other and even the pain is wonderful because they had found such grand love.  The music is wonderfully appropriate to the plot, and beautifully performed and choreographed.  Lucy and Jude are divided by Lucy's devotion to the Vietnam antiwar movement.  She lost her first boyfriend to Vietnam war, and now her brother is in the Army in Vietnam.  She is afraid to loose her brother also.  Jude is English, and is in the United States illegally, without a visa.  The love and pain of several relationships weave throughout the movie, but again, the love is so wonderful it is worth the pain of loss.  The music is sooooo good I am even going to buy the CD instead of just downloading the individual songs I like.  It is not just a chick flick, go see it!!!!!
