~OH, BUT HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED~

I was born in 1960, and looking back on those years of my youth, I realize how much things have changed to the present day. Even the termonology of several words have changed drastically. For example, in the 60's, A FAG meant...A Cigarette. Today it means... A HOMOSEXUAL. GAY meant...HAPPY. Today it means...A HOMOSEXUAL. DIRTY meant...A PERVERTED PERSON. Today it means...IN NEED OF A BATH. THONGS meant...A PAIR OF SANDALS. Today it means...A SKIMPY, UNDERGARMENT. A TEDDY meant... A Stuffed Bear. Today it means...A SEXY ARTICLE OF SLEEPWEAR. QUEER meant...ODD. Today it means...A HOMOSEXUAL. HIPPY meant, A FLOWER CHILD. Today it means...A PERSON WITH LARGE HIPS. A PIG meant... A POLICEMAN. Today it means...LIVESTOCK. I am sure there are many more words I have left out, but I think you get the general idea. If any of you can think of more to add to my list, please feel free to do so. Statesman meant a politician beneficial to the people.
Today it means not yet indicted.

Also police could handle things (or were allowed to by parents and society) as told in my tale on gather 'The Broomstick Bazooka'

I enjoyed this article. Fun to realize I'm not the only one unsure of the meanings of words. I moved here from England, so I have a whole different range of alternatives.

Where am fag ,Queer, homosexual, gay, all meant the same thing, a person who didn't like girls. Or if is was a women theydidn't like men.

I'm enjoying thinking about these words too. 'Fuzz' used to be slang for police. Now it's -- hah! -- is it slang for anything new? Or does it just mean short hair growth or a blur?
