:D, I'm an agree-er, but those who put Bush-Cheney in power see fit to keep them there for now. Short of marching in the streets--which has happened before--I see little chance of their removal. I like the idea of the first female President, but I think Nancy Pelosi is going to be too smart to pursue it via impeachment.

The American people have said they want to see progress made by competent leadership. Controlling Congress is a great way to get that done. If the Democrats show they are about solving the peoples' problems, the 2008 elections will solve the problem of the Bush influence on the country. If the Dems get bogged down in vindictiveness, it could well go the other way in 2008.

Good points. The administration is already changing their tune. The Dems can be more productive by focusing on the work at hand. And We the People can't sit back and trust they'll do it. We need to stay active and vocal. This administration's contribution to all Americans was to end our complacency.

I do not think you realize what is at stake. We are at war, and not by name only.
There is a black plague coming from the middle east and they do not like your right
to descent. They want to enslave the women and make you a robot to there beliefs.
We who have enjoyed our enaliabe rights. (please excuse my spelling) will want to
think how we got them. It was by blood shed and by the sword. We the people have done a lousey job of taking care of history but we own it and we need to fix it

There enjoyed freedoms has caused zero population growth and they have repopulated with immigrants from North Africa and the Middle East. Most of Islamic belief. Probably in the relatively near future, we will have a woman president. However, she will undoubtedly be a conservative. Any less would play into the stereotype (unfortunately), and would make her candidacy highly polarized. With all due respect, any one that doesn't see that simply hasn't thought it through.
