Simple Shorts are short fictional stories or blurbs. It seems to be the only coherent way I can write right now so eventually these stories will be pieces of the master story I intended them for.

I awoke with a start. It was early afternoon. I must have drifted off after reading the stock market report this morning. The projection clock glared 2:15PM. Shoot! I was late for my meeting with my parents across town.
I stood up, and realized I was already dressed. All I really had to do was freshen up., and make a trip to the coffee shop for the same drink I treated myself with before every one of my meetings - a caffe latte sans the whipped cream. Whipped cream would add pounds to my figure.
Edgar was already waiting for me downstairs where he was always sure to usher me into my parents' limo as he handed me their credit card for my trip expenditures.
The meeting was breif as usual. They spent most of the time scolding me how I shouldn't be late and how we are seemingly better than the average Joe. Blah Blah Blah. It didn't matter to me. I loved Tad since I literally ran into him in the coffee shop Edgar reffered to me.
After the meet, greet, and lecture, it was off shopping for my Tahari, and Dolce & Gabbana fix, two designers I absolutely adored! The store was incredibly busy, moreso than I've seen it in quite some time, perhaps ever. Yet it had that desolate feeling where one customer didn't even acknowledge the existence of the next person in their proximity.
I was walking to the womens' shoe department, as I could never quite have enough shoes, and someone grabbed my buttocks in a caressing sort of way. It felt like a man's hand, but in looking around, there were only women near me.
