I think there have been a lot of questions surrounding the e-book. I thought I would share my experience with everyone. This summer I sold my novella, The Spirit of Christmas, to a small electronic publisher. Well, the problem was that I had never even read an e-book before. I decided I needed to purchase one.
So the first one I read was Rebecca Goings’ In Your Arms. I purchased it through fictionwise.com and it was sooo easy to pay for and then immediately I had my book to read. (On a personal note, the book was terrific!) I religiously purchase books on-line from Amazon and BN. But this was even better - immediate gratification. I found that reading the book on the computer was just fine. I have a lap top, and it was great sitting in my bed reading the book off the screen. In time I have purchased many more ebooks, and I found an even better way to read them. For Christmas, I received the Palm t/x. It has a larger screen perfect for viewing your e-book. I can also get on the Internet and check my email on it. I view pictures and listen to music on it. It even allows me to take my Word docs with me wherever I go. I love this device!! And now I can sit on the couch or lay back in bed and read my e-books in comfort.
I still love actual print books, but it has been an experience learning more about the electronic book. I know some readers who only buy electronic now because they can’t store print books in their house anymore. I received a contract on my second book just before Christmas. It will be available in an e-book format as well as in print. But I can say that either format will be just as pleasurable. So, if you haven’t tried an e-book go ahead and buy one; it will be well worth the price and bring just as much enjoyment.

Although I wouldn't mind checking out the new reader (I forget the name) that makes it look more like you're reading a scanned page rather than a screen computer text.
