If only we could all start over 

from the very beginning of time

do away with all the misery

all the wars and all the crime

 

If only we could be peaceful

loving one another as God planned

living together in harmony

Instead of fighting, a helping hand

 

If only we were one big family

Neighbor helping neighbor when in need

We would be living in a beautiful world

As directed in God's creed

 

If only lessons were learned from history

And mistakes were not repeated

Imagine the way the world could be

Only love existing, all anger then deleted

I sure wish I could begin again. I'd sure pick a different starting point. No doubt, everything would turn out a lot different than it did. But then, if I was someone else, I wouldn't have all in my life now, especially my best friend. Forget it. Despite many downfalls along the way; I think I'll stay right where I am and enjoy all I do have in my life!
