I'll be at a wedding tomorrow, along with some other Post Tarts. One of our own, butzodaddy, is joining another tart, michelle, in connubial bliss.
*sniff
Oooh, the ceremony's outside... gonna be 95 degrees with ungodly dewpoints. I expect lots of sweating and perhaps some swooning tomorrow. W00t.
Don't worry about the weather. We only have to sweat for an hour, and the reception is in a nice, cool movie theater. I'll trot on down to Target and get some smelling salts for you. I think they're in the "rouge and lead based face paint" aisle.
Zeldapie, I wish. How cool is that? I didn't scoop wristbands for the Macy's 8th Floor show, I've heard varying accounts as to Ticket Center ticket availability, and the idea of camping out for First Avenue tickets was met with one of those "that'sityou'refinallyofficiallycracked" reactions. You know camping out is what it would take to secure the First Ave. tickets. I refuse to believe anything less would result in a pair finding its way to my pocket. But boy, what a deal. First The Police and now Prince? Dang!
p.s. My best to butzo and Michelle! I can imagine you'll all be standing around with iced beverages and fans, all genteel. Right?
Skipping one's own wedding to see Prince Live in Concert would certainly be an amusing anniversary story...if one could count on anniversaries. Why not work it into the reception plans?
My favorite musician who came out of Minneapolis is R. J. Mischo although he's really from Wisconsin and now lives in Arkansas.
Aw, come on J. G¤lden. If you don't like the Minneapolis/St. Paul International there's Humphrey Terminal. Heck, fly to Eau Claire! Life is short. Take this opportunity (even if I can't) to live it up, make a little history...
Also, a little fan?
Yes, auntie, bring the smelling salts. I may need someone to loosen my stays, too.

I don't doubt Zeldapie and Auntie will both be dressed for the event and the weather. Personally, I'm crossing my fingers for First Ave's AC system! A failure would make for a hot show indeed.
Don't I at least earn a guffaw?
Hey there, Mr. Robinson, you freaky kitty you. By all means, come on up to Minneapolis/St. Paul! We'll even clean the shag carpet before you get here.
"I saw Prince on his Alphabet Street tour. It was quite a show."- Mark Robinson Details, please! Was it music, or was it a trip? *grin*
Alright Auntie, I did crack a smile at "Little Dead Chevette" probably because that's a universal experience, isn't it?
Tarrant would that be a command mp3? Which Prince tracks made it into the iRiver?
A frog working the graveyard shift in the 80s... sounds like a joke waiting to happen Nippy. Anyway, I'm sure you've heard Prince's work. Trust me. You still down with American Routes music?
Z to self: rassumfrassumdernauntie. hmmph!
*Z holds her nose while she digs away at the shag with one hand.
Ugh!!
Now I'm off to do some shopping for the big weekend - Butzo & Michelle's nuptials on Sat., then FFCG's b-day on Sun.
CUL8R!
