MPR's Bob Kelleher, reports on Andy Saur's Viking quest:
A Duluth man is on a quest to change the music the Minnesota Vikings play in the Metrodome before kicking the football. Andy Saur says the Vikings should be playing a Led Zeppelin song rather than the one they use by Guns N' Roses. His efforts have gotten nationwide media attention, but he admits he's still in for a long struggle. (see link above for full story in print).
Makes sense to me, do you think the Vikings should change the song?

All that said, the opening to "Welcome to the Jungle" still makes me crank the volume after all these years. That just plain rocks and it is mean, mean, mean.
Brett, The Viking Kittens' link is purrrrrfect!
I don't really rock out, Kat, but I do like to crank the volume and remember the days when I'd floor the pedal. (Don't do that anymore, I'm all responsible and boring now.)
All that aside I think that his idea to change songs is great. I mean "Welcome to the jungle" doesn't really fit. Have you ever seen a Viking in a jungle??? I haven't.
