May I Ask a Favor?

Many of you know Karolyn Q and I'm sure many of you, like me, have enjoyed the detailed step-by-step instructions she posts for her craft products and picked up a lot of tips for getting the most out of both giving and shopping garage sales.

Karolyn hasn't been posting a whole lote lately. Her family, like so many, have hit a streak of bad luck. You can read the details here: Karolyn Q's Update. I hope she isn't embarrassed by my posting this. She doesn't have any reason to.

Anyway, we at gather have a long history of supporting our own. I'm not going to ask for money, but I am going to ask for points. Can you spare a few minutes to read and comment on some of the photos in her archives: Karolyn's Archives

Karolyn's a great person and the points may not add up too quickly. But I bet we could get her enough for a $25 gift card or paypal payout. More than that, with each comment we'll be sharing encouragement and a pat on the back. Each 10 will saying "hang in there, Karolyn. things are going to get better."

I don't have any disclaimers to make. I don't know Karolyn. I've just enjoyed her posts over the years and I do feel for her situation. And I can't take credit for this idea, either. Sue* has suggested it in the past. I didn't know the person she was suggesting, but I went to leave a few comments and ended up going all the way through the writer's archives, actually discovering for the first time one of gather's best writers. I hope many of you will feel this way about Karolyn after reading/viewing her materials.
