This day in 2004......

On April 1st, 2004 we got a call from our doctor that confirmed we were pregnant. It was NOT an April fools joke, it was a happy day for us. We were pregnant with our first child.

Sadly, that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. But I still remember every last detail about that pregnancy....down to the date that we found out we were pregnant....April 1st 2004

We were lucky enough to get pregnant shortly after with our son, and we're currently trying to have another baby.....I just won't be taking any pregnancy tests today since this day has too much history for us.

I am so sorry you lost your first child. My husband and I lost four but we were fortunate enough to have two beautiful healthy babies.

I'm so sorry for your loss Connie. I know I talk about my miscarriage a lot here, but I feel that it's important to talk about our first child because I don't want that child to ever be forgotten. So, I always say that we have 2 children....one in Heaven and one here on Earth.

I am sorry this is a sad day for you Jill, you always remember days like this, especially when the loss of a child is involved, enjoy the child you have, and you will successfully have another when the time is right.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in 1999 and I know how devastating they are.

I'm so glad you went on to have another child but I know the pain of miscarriage and it leaves a haunted, hollow space in your heart, doesn't it? It does for me.
