Michelle: I could envision it set up that the PUBLISHER could choose - which could get confusing - OR the READER could choose. And yeah, the comment box could be at the top. (Or, I bet it wouldn't be difficult to have it at the top AND bottom.) Thanks for your input, Michelle - I think we COULD get used to the two formats, even tho change does take adapting.

They could make it part of your profile configuration. Check a box if you want your comments listed from last to first or first to last.

Some places let you choose how emails are configured, with the reply email on the top or the bottom.

I like that idea so you dont have to keep scrolling all the way down to the bottom.

I would also like to have a reply to this comment feature, would make it so much easier.

Thanks, Tina. And, excellent point, Sophie - that would be especially helpful in "Gather Chats"! (I hate scrolling up and down to read the questions and then back to the answer.

For viewing. It would let you control how you see the thread.

I thought that's how it's done-if I click on "my comments," I see the last, next-to-last, etc. comments in chronological order. This site is confusing enough, & now I'm beginning to think it's the members that make it that way!

LOL, Mari, I hadn't thought of that! No, we were talking about all of the comments on a PARTICULAR THREAD/ARTICLE. And that is the reverse of "my comments" - as you appropriately point out.

Of course, if they started listing comments from the most recent, they'd need to mark the comments in some way so we'll know which ones are new. Maybe they could make them flash on and off in an annoying fashion.
