Today is a sad day for the Jewish People--On the 9th day of Av, Av is a name of a Hebrew month, the two Holy Temples were destroyed in Israel over two thousand years ago, the first one by the Babylonians and the second one by the Romans.
The Jewish people fast on this day. Other tragedies occurred on this day such as the Spanish Inquisition when the Jewish people were banished from Spain in 1492 and World War I began on this day which led to the World War II and the Holocaust.
So, despite all these tragedies, we are still around fasting and praying that these horrors will subsist and peace will come to all the peoples in this world.

In our Bible studies we learned of all things
that happened to our Jewish people back in
those days of yore. And hopefully we all shall
overcome these disastrous happenings. Peace
on Earth Shall Reign one day!
