April 2004 I found myself in a snow blizzard in the midwest, traveling I 90 .I decided to bypass it and ended up in Bellingham Wa. It is a college town and seemed to be a nice place to wait out a storm. I am always drawn to water sources and started out on the bay. Looking around town, I got very comfortable, figuring it was a pretty safe place for a woman on her own I hit the park for a hike, little did I know that this place would engulf me into its beauty and tranquility, there were several parks with hiking trails that connected to each other, each with its own charm, I hiked from one place to the next absorbing all it had to offer, I saw old bridges, waterfalls, huge trees, old railroad trestles ,wildlife and beautiful plants growing wild through out the forest floor. I waded the creeks and rivers, icy water compared to what I am use to back home. The water smell refreshing, not fishy and the forest was so beautifully green and moist. I fell in love with the area, I spent three weeks there enjoying every minute I was with the forest. I long to go back, I had such a wonderful spiritual experience exploring nature.
