I recently had a book published by lulu.com titled "Das Amerikanische". The experience of using an online publishing company has turned out to be a happy one. The author retains total control over the material and the price is right. You can choose to use their distribution services or not. It's been a great adventure.   Jean Winstead (mainmom)

Dan, lulu.com allows you to set your own profit amount per book sale. I'm keeping that amount low as I try to find the right market for my book. Since there isn't any money required up front by lulu almost any sales will mean a small profit for me.
San s, My book is based on the life of my immigrant grandfather and is an historical novel set largely in Minnesota. I encourage anyone who is looking for a publisher to check out lulu.com's website.
