As everyone most likely has already heard last night was a bad night to be Hillary. In Democratic Debate 400 her opponents finally tried to make her give answers that actually mean something, what happened? She self-destructed by speaking out of both sides of her mouth.
She was asked what she though of Gov. Eliot Spitzer's plan to give illegals drivers licenses. She rambled for a while a ultimently defended his plan. When Chris Dodd was called on next and said that he disagreed with Hillary that Illegals should get drives license she shot back "I did not say that." In response Russert asked a follow up, "You told New Hampshire paper that it made a lot of sense. Do you support his plan?” Hillary who could not give a straight answer responded, "You know, Tim, this is where everybody plays gotcha."
Then came the barrage,
Edwards
“Unless I missed something, Sen. Clinton said two different things in the course of about two minutes. America is looking for a president who will say the same thing, who will be consistent, who will be straight with them.”
Obama
“I was confused by Sen. Clinton's answer. I can't tell whether she was for it or against it. One of the things that we have to do in this country is to be honest about the challenges that we face.”
So could Hillary bring herself to accept that she needed to be straight with the American people. No, she sent out an operative to claim that Moderator Tim Russert was unfair. "He bordored on the unprofessional, and He broke debate rules and was BELLIGERENT."
Hardly Hillary, the only person who is Belligerent is you, with your disregard with treating the American People with any kind of Respect. You are not the emperor or Queen you are running for President. Time for you to be honest with the American People even if you dont know how since you never have been before.

"Hillary is a radical leftist, and as a radical leftist, first and foremost, she needs to acquire power. And in order to acquire power, she has to camouflage her true beliefs and intentions from a majority of Americans.
But she also needs to appease the "Star Trek" wing of her party, and so the driver's license issue created some difficulty for her, because she can't tell the American people she favors open borders, ciitizenship and voting rights for hordes of illegal aliens. On the other hand, she can't offend the ethnic special interest groups she panders to.
So her answer was gibberish and she appeared buffoonish."
Frankly, Modern Day, at times I get the feeling you think anybody to the left of you is a radical leftist. Notice you didn't say anything about one of her opponent virtually accuse her of be a neo-con because she is farther to the right than they are. If she is right of left and left of right I guess that puts her in the middle. Anybody who has the courage to risk the displeasure of both extremes certainly has guts and you know how Americans like courage.
Also, I woud think you would be pleased to find any candidate, Democrat or Republican, talking about fiscal responsibility and putting that at the top of her list for starting to deal with Social Security issue.
Regarding the Spitzer plan: if you read the transcript of the debate, you can see that she did not say that she was in favor of it, only that the idea made sense. She made the point that giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants would make our roads safer, by at least ensuring that they were trained and tested.
I have not heard her say that she is in favor of open borders and voting rights for illegal immigrants.
In many respects, Hillary's positions are hard to understand because she is a Conservative Democrat; and that is confusing when viewed from the contexts we've all been stuck in these past eight years.
If she said she was "for it" after the debate, then perhaps she has solidified her position. You have to admit that getting illegal immigrants to apply for a driver's license would set them up to be discovered and deported; or at least make them trackable.
As for Hillary being far left; your concept of "far left" is vastly different from mine. Compared to the many "far left" people I've met and known, Hillary ranks firmly close to the center as a conservative moderate. For example; she doesn't practice open marriage or infidelity, she believes in balanced budgets, doesn't believe in deficit spending, and believes in stimulating the economy by creating environments for businesses to be created and/or bloom (aka: entrepreneurship). All of that is more in-line with conservative American thought than far left liberal thought.
As for opening up the White House records.. I think she and her husband have a right to certain levels of privacy, just as other presidents and their spouses have been allowed to let their conversations remain private.
She gave her famouse velied answer, but I knew she was saying she was for it and admitted it now. If I ran ICE I would set up shop at the licensing center and load them in the back of a paddywagon.
What I am saying is that we dont know who Hillary really is. She gives veiled and none answers in the debates and wont turn over her documents.
As for past precendent we have never had a Presidential spouse run for President. We should open the documents and review them. If they are not classified open them up she is running for President of the United States we as Americans deserve to know the truth. The fact is these documents are being covered up so that we will not see the the liberal Hillary she has been hiding since she went to the US Senate.
