Portsmouth,NH is a small city of 24,000. Usually this city is a hotbed of politics.
I like to drive around and see people political choices. They usually have a sign of their candidate. But so far, I have counted 15 signs.
Ron Paul has 6
Edwards has 4
Obama has 2
Richardson has 1
McCain has 1
and Dodd has one.
But maybe it is the local elections crowding them out. There are hundreds of signs for the local candidates . I will give another count next week.

Kind of easy way to take a little poll.
keep us informed on you informal survey!
J.K. -- There is a guy down the street that has a Kerry/Edwards sign for the last four years. ( He just changed it to Edwards.)
Ana S. -- They are just shy about saying who they want. (I hope.)
Clarke M. -- But you would think these big campaigns would having people put signs out. We do have campaign headquarters for all the candidates.
Christopher K. -- Do you have sign or have a choice yet?
Cheri Cabot -- Did you see any bumper stickers either? So far I have seen one. Obama.
Jane C. -- Will do.
Bruce B. -- Did you noticed any the last two elections?
vote for my photo, help my dreams come true!
****************OBAMA FOR AMERICA**************
kudos!
we are an army of Obama followers.
We shall follow him all the way!
Any other Democratic nominee?
Won't get our vote; we'll write Obama's name in.
I have had it with this politics-as-usual.
Any other candidates can take that and stuff it.
That may not be Obama's message,
but it's growing amongst his followers --
NOT WITH OUR VOTE YOU WON'T!!!
If I do go with Obama, may I copy your sign? I just love it.
So the signs resemble the candidate.......interesting
The article is entertaining but I don't think the presence of a candidate's signs is anything close to an accurate barometer of what will happen in the actual election.
Most people that vote don't actually put signs in thier yards or on the side of the road.
I'm voting for Romney but would never put a Romney sign in my yard for fear of some petty, purile, heathen, leftist moonbat bastard would come onto my property and vandalize it.
I would never personally do that to someone with a Hillary sign in their yard. I'd find it much more rewarding to stand outside their home the day after she loses the election with a big grin on my face.
Romney's going to be our next president. I've been saying it for months now. Doubt me now......compliment me on my ability to read the political tea leaves come Nov 2008 people.
So far I haven't pick anyone yet. (Leaning towards Obama.) The waters are still to murky. I can't see a candidate for either party yet. I expect some surprise in the Iowa and NH votes.
I would never support him because he is a run of the mill liberal who has voted in congress to allow illegals to receive social security benefits. Also it seems like he has missed a ton of votes like this latest vote on Iran. Not only does he conveniently miss these important votes but he then proceeds to lecture other people on the evils of the way in which they themselves voted. Such as his attacking Hillary on her Iran vote. I hate Hillary with a burning compassion but at least she had the balls to check in vote one way or the other...unlike your boy Barack who stayed away and then began running his mouth.
I don't think they're murky at all on either side Chick. The Clintons obviously still own the Dem party so Hillary has that side all sewn up. Mccain was long ago thrown under the bus by the GOP, Guiliani is too f-ing liberal and won't do well in the ealry primaries thereby ending his candidacy and Fred Thompson is a now show. Romney is experienced, charismatic, good looking and will do very well in both the Iowa caucus and NH primary thereby creating the snowball affect that will lead to his winning the GOP nod.
Hope.
Dana, I know signs aren't necessarily a good prediction but it is interesting to see what goes up. I am leaning toward Obama because I believe that he internalized what his mother taught him. She often asked him, "How would that make you feel?" So he feels he learned empathy from her and I do believe he tries hard to see things from the view point of others. I believe that this will help him bring people together to find solutions.
